Puppy University is a carefully designed programme created to gently introduce your puppy to the grooming environment in a calm, positive and reassuring way.
These early visits help your puppy build confidence, trust and familiarity with grooming from a young age, laying the foundations for a lifetime of relaxed, stress-free grooming experiences.
The early weeks and months of a puppy’s life are a crucial time for learning and confidence-building.
Puppy University focuses on gradual exposure, positive reinforcement and gentle handling, allowing your puppy to become comfortable with the sights, sounds and sensations of the grooming salon at their own pace.
By taking the time to introduce grooming slowly and kindly, puppies learn that the salon is a safe, calm and positive space.
Puppy University takes place over four visits, each carefully planned to build on the last.

A short, relaxed introduction to the salon and groomer.
Your puppy will explore the space, experience gentle handling and be introduced to grooming equipment through play, treats and reassurance.
(Approx. 20 minutes)

A gentle introduction to bathing, combined with further desensitisation to the salon environment and equipment.
This session helps your puppy begin to feel comfortable with water, drying and handling.
(Approx. 1 hour)

A calm grooming session including a bath, blow-dry, nail trimming, ear cleaning and hygiene tidies where appropriate.
Your puppy will finish with a light fragrance, complimentary bandana and a relaxed play session to reinforce positive associations.

A gentle full puppy groom, including light clipping and scissoring to tidy key areas such as the face and paw pads.
Graduation photos and a certificate help mark this special milestone, celebrating your puppy’s progress and confidence.
